A Faster Shopify Storefront for a Heritage Western Boot Brand
A multi-generation boot maker with a deep, size-heavy catalog needed a storefront that loads fast, filters well, and sells the craftsmanship behind every pair.

The situation
The brand sells hundreds of styles across dozens of sizes and widths, through both its own store and a network of retailers. The previous theme had accumulated apps and customizations that slowed every page, and shoppers struggled to narrow a large catalog down to the boot they were looking for.
What we did
Theme rebuild on Online Store 2.0
We rebuilt the storefront as a clean Online Store 2.0 theme — sections the team can rearrange, metafield-driven product details, and none of the legacy code that was weighing pages down.
Collection browsing for a deep catalog
Filtering by style, toe shape, height, width, and size, with fast storefront search, so a shopper who knows what they want gets there in two clicks and a browser can explore by look.
Product pages that sell craftsmanship
Construction details, materials, fit guidance, and sizing presented where they matter, with image galleries built for leather close-ups and variant swatches that don't hide inventory.
Performance and SEO foundation
Core Web Vitals targets met on real devices, structured data for products and reviews, and a redirect map so nothing earned in search was lost at launch.
Why it matters
Speed and findability are revenue for a catalog this size. A theme the team controls, pages that load fast on a phone, and filters that work mean fewer abandoned sessions — and a storefront that does the brand's heritage justice.
